SERC Testing and Analysis Collaboration Engagement 2026

Kulim, 29 June 2026 – Strengthening strategic partnerships in scientific research was the primary focus of a recent collaborative engagement involving the Science and Engineering Research Centre (SERC), USM. The delegation, led by Pn. Hariy (Coordinator of SERC) alongside officers Dr. Mohd Zharif, En. Muhammad Nasrul, ChM. Nur Ezzah, and Pn. Amira, recently participated in a productive site visit. The engagement featured high-level meetings, in-depth discussions, and a comprehensive tour of the laboratory facilities.

This engagement highlighted the strong potential for fruitful collaborations between SERC and AMREC SIRIM. The AMREC team was represented by Dr. Mohd Afian Omar (Principal Researcher), ChM. Mat Tamizi Zainuddin, and members of their research team. Both parties expressed great enthusiasm for future joint initiatives aimed at advancing their testing and analysis capabilities.

Overall, the visit provided valuable exposure to shared facility standards and strengthened the research engagement between both prominent institutions.
