SERC Showcases Testing and Analysis Expertise at 7th SIRIM Invention, Innovation & Technology Expo
KULIM, 7 October — The Science Engineering and Research Center (SERC) from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) has joined the 7th SIRIM Invention, Innovation & Technology Expo (SI2TE), held from 7 to 9 October 2025 at AMREC, SIRIM Berhad, Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah.

Jointly organized by SIRIM Berhad and the Malaysian Association of Research Scientists (MARS), this year’s event carries the theme “Fusion of Intelligence – Advancements in Science & Technology.” It aims to highlight innovative technologies and strengthen collaborations that bridge research, innovation, and commercialization.

Over the three-day event, exhibitions, competitions, and conferences will feature inventions and projects from both local and international participants — including universities, research institutions, industries, and schools. The exhibition covers a wide range of categories such as industrial design, materials science, healthcare, energy and environment, ICT and multimedia, and agriculture.

SERC’s participation underscores its commitment to expanding visibility in the innovation ecosystem and promoting its role as one of Malaysia’s leading testing and analysis service providers. By taking part in SI2TE, SERC aims to showcase its expertise to industry players and establish new partnerships across various sectors.

SERC offers a comprehensive range of material characterization, testing, and analytical services using state-of-the-art equipment. These include microscopy and analytical imaging, adhesion and coating analysis, chemical and elemental mapping, contamination and failure analysis, nanomaterials characterization, thermal and mechanical testing, among others.

In addition to laboratory services, SERC also provides corporate facilities, including fully equipped training rooms for seminars, workshops, and corporate programs. These spaces come with complete audio-visual systems, suitable for both small meetings and large-scale events.

Through its involvement in SI2TE 2025, SERC continues to strengthen its presence as a reliable partner in the field of scientific testing and analysis, contributing to Malaysia’s ongoing drive toward innovation and technological excellence.
