TRAINING ON ISO/IEC 17025:2017 REQUIREMENT AND RISK ASSESSMENT AND RISK MANAGEMENT

31 January 2019 – Science and Engineering Research Centre (SERC) has organized a seminar Training on ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Requirement and Risk Assessment and Risk Management’, a proper training to the laboratory personnel having key tasks and responsibilities for the ISO 17025 transition and implementation purposes.

Dr Sani Ibrahim, the chairman of Persatuan Makmal Akreditasi Malaysia was the qualified trainer for this training. He is currently the owner, Managing Director and Laboratory Director if Sanichem Resources Sdn. Bhd, an accreditated laboratory in Bandar Enstek, Negeri Sembilan. He is also a technical assessor of SAMM ISO 17025 with Standard Malaysia.

This training comprises of 30 participants from accredited testing laboratories and applicant laboratories within all campus in Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM).
During the training, the trainer had presented the New ISO 17025:2017 and how to migrate painlessly to these revised requirements for ISO 17025. Futhermore, this training also emphasis on the Risk Assessment and Risk Management as it is one of the important requirements in the new standard ISO 17025:2017.
