Special Features & Descriptions

 The dynamic contact angle measuring instrument and tensiometer DCAT 21 is the multifunctional instrument for the weight-based measurement such as:

  1. Contact angle
  2. Surface and interfacial tension
  3. Critical micelle formation concentration
  4. Density
  5. Sedimentation penetration
  6. Adhesive force
  7. Surface pressure.

Main features of the DCAT 21 are as follows:

  1. high-precision electrodynamic compensation weighing system with automatic calibration
  2. Software controlled, motor-driven height positioning of the sample receptacles with variable speed
  3. Automatic coupling lock for the balance
  4. Illuminated sample chamber with inert gas or vapor inlet
  5. Versatile specimen holders for various samples, including fibre bundles, powders, film, cylinder and plate samples
  6. Du Noüy rings – for surface tension measurement of liquid
  7. Wilhelmy plates – for determination of surface tension (SFT) of a liquid, the interfacial tension (IFT) between two liquids, and the contact angle between a liquid and a solid
