CHEMICAL AND ELEMENTAL MAPS
Chemical and elemental mapping are other techniques that use advanced chemical or elemental analysis instruments that can characterize the element or chemical content of a topmost surface, near-surface, bulk, or exposed interior region of samples or products. The elemental mapping is carried out by using a single spot or can analyze an area by raster scanning which can build up an area of distribution of the elements present in the sample.
